At the TLI this past weekend
the President's workshop discussed various ideas
they had tried at their clubs. From that they
came up with two lists. List one was the list of
ideas that were successful at their club. List
two was a list of ideas that had not been
successful at their club. The Presidents wanted
to share this information so please find it
listed below in those two groupings. |

- have pizza following meetings (pizza delivery
person always showed up at the wrong time)
- telling people what to do
- failing to blend speechcraft with a normal
meeting
- promote your own idea without support of your
executive
- sell your idea to the executive
- find the interest of your group
- succession planning
- pushing membership building
- newspaper does not seem to work
- get involved the rest of the group - delegate,
induction for example
- get them to register in convention, confernce
and this TLI
- meet other day then our regular meeting
- ringing bell after time is up
- having members volunteer for meeting roles
- membership contest
